Tostadas Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of carnitas (or any prepared meat); shredded finely
1/2 c of salsa (homemade or canned)
Oil (for frying)
6 pcs of tortillas (corn)
3/4 c of refried beans (canned or homemade)
2 c of lettuce; shredded finely
1/2 c of sour cream (dairy)
3/4 c of guacamole
Instructions:
Prepare the meat, guacamole, and salsa. Pour the oil onto a skillet, about 1/4-inch deep; heat it at 365 degrees F. Fry the tortillas individually till each side is crisp and browned. Drain on a paper towel.
Spread beans onto each of tortillas. Top it with one-third cup of carnitas. Add lettuce on top then a tablespoon (sour) cream and tablespoon guacamole. Place salsa on top and serve at once.
