Chicken Alejandro Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 c of onions; sliced thinly s
1 pc clove of garlic ; chopped finely
1 Tbsp of margarine (or butter)
1 c of salsa (medium)
1/2 tsp of sugar (refined)
1/4 tsp of cinnamon (ground)
1/8 tsp of cloves (ground)
1/2 pc of bay leaf
1 c of tomato sauce
2 tsps of cornstarch
1 pc of orange (small); peeled and sectioned
4 pcs of chicken breast fillet halves
Rice
Instructions:
Cook garlic and onion with margarine inside a skillet above moderate heat till tender. Add salsa, cinnamon, sugar, bay leaf, and cloves; add the chicken and cover. Simmer it for half an hour. Take out the chicken then place on a warm platter and keep them warm.
Dissolve the cornstarch with (tomato) sauce inside a bowl; add onto the skillet and stir constantly till mixture becomes thick and boiling. Add the sectioned orange and heat thoroughly. Discard the bay leaf and serve the chicken above the rice and drizzle over is sauce.
