Flour Tortillas Recipe
Ingredients:
4 c of flour (all-purpose)
1 & 1/2 tsps of baking-powder
1 & 1/2 c of warned water
1 & 1/2 tsp of salt
4 tsps of shortening
Instructions:
Combine all dry components in medium bowl. You cut the shortening in. Create small well in center then pour over water gradually enough to have your dough formed. Knead your dough til elastic & smooth. Have it covered w/ dampened cloth for 10 mins.
Shape dough carefully into egg-sized balls then flatten them between your palms. Use a rolling-pin & roll every ball carefully into 6-inch circles that are 1/8-inch thick.
Have them cooked in skillet placed over midheat for 2 mins in every side ’til tortillas will be bit speckled. Have them covered w/ towel for it to be heated but soft ’til served.
