Picadillo Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of lean beef; coarsely chopped
2 tomatoes (large); peeled chopped
1 medium onion; finely-chopped
1 garlic clove; crushed
1 tsp of sugar
2 Tbsps of vinegar
A pinch of cloves
1 tsp of cinnamon (ground)
1 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of ground cumin
1/2 c of raisins (seedless)
1/2 c of blanched almonds; silvered
Instructions:
Have beef cooked in skillet placed over mid-heat ’til browned. Add onions once fat starts to come out. Cook ’til onions are translucent.
You drain excess oil off then add rest of your ingredients excluding almonds. Have it simmered for 30 mins. Add almonds prior to serving.
